Position: Leadership Programs Intern

Location: Mount Vernon Virginia

Schedule/Hours: Full-time

Time Frame:  Summer 2017  June 4- July 14, 2017 (Six Weeks)

Internship duration may vary with an option to continue into Fall 2017 and/or Spring

Compensation   housing, transportation, meals and a $500 weekly stipend.

Position Specific Responsibilities:
Assist with logistics for the various client-based leadership programs

Assist with the management of the leadership department’s social media and digital-based initiatives

Assist in creating and writing content and activities for a variety of leadership program offerings

Assist with the evaluation of the leadership programs

Manage several special projects

Pursuing a Master degree in education, management, museum education, history, or a related field

Experience in program development and coordination

Skilled in written and oral communication, including editing

Knowledge in current leadership trends, theories and practices

Strong organizational skills; ability to track several projects simultaneously and to prioritize workload

Strong interpersonal skills

Must be completely proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Knowledge of and experience in the use of social media
