The Center for the Advancement of Data and Research in Economics (CADRE) at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is recruiting for the position of Information Management Intern.  CADRE provides support for innovative research on monetary policy and macroeconomics.  For the summer of 2017, we are offering a paid information management internship for undergraduate or Masters students.

Key Project:
• Revising and updating bibliographic records in system-wide ILS and OCLC ; inventorying library materials; and indexing research publications

This is an excellent position for students to hone technical skills and work in a computationally intensive research environment.  Applicants must be continuing undergraduate or graduate students able to work full time for at least 8 weeks during the summer of 2017.  Applicants should also meet the requirements below.

Required Education and Skills:
• Currently enrolled in information management or library science program
• Basic knowledge and skills related to MARC, RDA, Library of Congress cataloging tools, and ILS (Integrated Library System)
• Strong interest in cataloging, indexing, and metadata
• Attention to details and strong organizational skills
• Proven ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills
•  Strong academic record with a minimum of three years of underg
