Description:

The Federal Judicial Center, the education and research agency for the federal courts, seeks an Information Services Office Intern. This paid, part-time position will introduce a current library / information school student to the functions of a federal law library.

The intern’s main duties revolve around serials, circulation, and interlibrary loan. Opportunities also exist for the student to explore collection development, cataloging, user instruction, content management, or another area of interest.

The Information Services Office distributes FJC publications, maintains a physical library, circulates a media collection, and plays a key role in delivering information digitally throughout the federal judiciary. Our office is located beside Union Station and accessible from Metro, MARC/VRE, and the Circulator.
