Description:
Seeking metadata interns to assist in the process of film distribution. This position is ideal for enthusiastic workers harboring a deep passion for film and an interest in learning the details of distribution.
This is not a coffee-run-for-the-office type of internship. You will become a part of a welcoming office setting that offers you the opportunity to involve yourself with an extensive, far-reaching area of the film industry. Interns will primarily be responsible for researching, locating, and inputting metadata to support the creation of our database, which will become the foundation of our sales and distribution strategy. With hundreds of titles ranging anywhere from historic television shows to modern cult classics, maintaining the organization of this database is essential to every subsequent step of our distribution process. Since many of our titles date back several decades, interns will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the processes of film digitization and preservation. Furthermore, for those interested in the world of post-production, trailer editing for our titles is done in-house. As such, keeping files organized for our editors will be a part of the day-to-day responsibilities interns.
Additional responsibilities will include office basics including copying, scanning, and spreadsheet organization.
