Summer Oral History Intern- New Mexico

Position: Oral History Project Intern-New Mexico

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico

Schedule/Hours: Variable up to 29 hours per week

Time Frame:  Starting June 2017 -12 weeks

Compensation $3000 stipend, plus costs of travel as required by internship

This 12week internship will focus on conducting research and collecting oral histories of individuals who  knew Georgia O’Keeffe, resulting in an edited 5-minute video. The content of the video will incorporate  a depth and range of recollections and memories that will help researchers and visitors to the Museum  gain a fuller understanding of Georgia O’Keeffe. All materials developed and used in the creation of the  video and the video itself will be added to the Museum archives.

Skills and Abilities  · Ability to work  in a self‐directed manner and with a team  · Familiarity with various software programs, including Excel, Word and Access  · Strong general writing and research skills

Qualifications: The intern must be a college senior or graduate student, with a background in

documentary film making,  photography or journalism. Must be able to travel to Northern New Mexico and

West Texas to conduct  interviews.
