Summer Intern – Records and Archiving Specialist- Nebraska

 Position: Records and Archiving Specialist (Labor Relations)

Qualifications College credits equivalent to two years towards an undergraduate degree with a major in Museum Studies, Library Science, or Public Administration. Must be currently enrolled and working towards completion.

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Schedule/Hours: 30- 40 hours per week

Compensation: Company Paid Housing and Transportation

We provide housing and transportation (valued at $2,000) to interns who don’t have access to housing during their internship. Located near the University of Nebraska-Omaha campus, Scott Court Housing is suite-style living in a dormitory atmosphere. It’s within walking distance to Aksarben Village, an urban development with a movie theater, outdoor events in Stinson Park, as well as numerous dining and shopping options. In each suite, you will find private bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a furnished living area and full kitchen.

Identifying documents, books, and files in the Labor Relations library; develop a plan to scan documents; work with Labor Relations personnel to determine what materials need not be retained; and otherwise reorganize and relocate the library. Experience gained should be a value-add for candidates seeking future employment in the documents management field.
Research agreements currently online and identify those that need to be scanned.
Develop and implement plans to restructure and relocate the library.
Identify and document contents of the Labor Relations library.
1 year(s) experience in computer applications demonstrating proficiency with MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and/or Access).
Proficient communication skills
Basic time management skills
