Position: Animal Care Registrar Internship
Eligibility College student (2nd year or higher) or recent graduate (2 years or less) in Zoology, Biology, Wildlife Management, Animal Science, Library Science, Museum Studies, Veterinary Medicine or related program.

Description: The goal of this internship is to provide a basic understanding of animal records management within the zoo profession. Students will gain hands-on experience working in the Animal Care department helping to maintain historical and current animal records while learning the value of animal record keeping.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting the registrar in entering historical animal records into the global animal records database (ZIMS), digitizing historical animal records and maintaining the Animal Crate Inventory and Vendor Profiles. Interns will also be required to complete various quizzes, trainings, projects, and a final reflection paper assigned by the department.
